You are blessed to see and enjoy the view! I lived above Lucia from childhood through college and never tired of the stunning view. I cherish the simple way of life like hunting for jade, listening to the music of the ocean and the wind in the redwoods. I loved the rustic was of life. Though I’m much older now, Big Sur is ingrained in my soul.

I’m with you, Kate. I never tire of my view from Carmel Woods, but national and international news gnaws at my psyche. I go the my garden to get grounded again. The wildlife there don’t give a fig for what’s happening outside their realms. It’s up to us to protect their habitats.
