CALTRANS TO PERFORM DRAINAGE WORK ON STATE ROUTE 1 BETWEEN GARRAPATA CREEK BRIDGE AND GRANITE CREEK BRIDGE SOUTH OF CARMEL HIGHLANDS STARTING MONDAY, OCTOBER 8
MONTEREY COUNTY –Caltrans Monterey Maintenance crew will be doing one-way reversing traffic control to remove debris from drainage/flow lines on both directions of State Route 1 between Garrapata Creek Bridge and Granite Creek Bridge south of Carmel Highlands starting Monday, Oct. 8 through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8 am to 2 pm each day, Caltrans officials announced today.
There will be electronic message boards alerting the public of this lane closure. Motorists should not encounter delays exceeding five minutes. This roadwork will be performed by the Caltrans Monterey Maintenance crew and the purpose of the drainage work is to remove debris from the flow lines as part of winter preparation and to ensure a safe environment for all travelers.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
