BSK, after this month and beyond – long length of statewide disasters- this dance better add some fun like a joker juggling frozen turkeys over the fire coals.

I’ve been to similar festivals over the past several years in somewhat wooded areas, and when there are fire dancers, the area they perform in is completely taken down to dirt and frequently has some sand put on top. You couldn’t light that surface with a blowtorch.
In my experience, the space cleared is also very large (usually ~20 feet on a side) but the very wide angle lens makes it impossible to judge distances and depth in the background, so I can’t say whether there was appropriate space between the performer and flammable materials.
