He did not publish that much, but then again you don’t need to when what you write says just about all there is to say. A couple of other examples:
“All there is to thinking is seeing something noticeable which makes you see something you weren’t noticing which makes you see something that isn’t even visible.”
“When I was young, a teacher had forbidden me to say “more perfect” because she said if a thing is perfect it can’t be more so. But by now I had seen enough of life to have regained my confidence in it.”

Ah Kate,, what a beautiful metaphor MacClean writes here, at this time of our collective Waking up, to all we speak & do, preventing this coming together. And appropo too, for our celebration of MLK’s potent message of Peaceful Action, & ‘Content of Mind, not Color of Skin.’

Is this a platform for comments or a pulpit for preaching?

If I’m not mistaken its pretty much a platform for all. Whether it has to do with Photo Sunday, Fires, Road Information, Get togethers, lost Fur Friends, lost Friends, pretty much any happenings, and I suppose some preaching mixed in with all the 100’s of other items such as stories, openings, photos, not to mention important links, etc. Not only does this platform help keep the residents up to date with what’s going on within our area, it also keeps the travelers and others informed!

The right to free speech is only applicable to government interference, not private. And to be clear…free speech is NOT applicable here. I do not tolerate hate speech HERE…on this blog…even if I support it in theory elsewhere, because it is protected against government interference. The First Amendment does not protect advocating violence or shouting “fire” in a crowded theater anywhere. Nor do I tolerate deliberate misinformation. And sometimes, I am human and certain speech gets on my nerves. So please, do not think anyone is entitled to say anything on my blog posts. You are not. Compassion and kindness is always welcome.

Odd to think of trolls invading even this peaceable kingdom. You must be hitting a nerve. Perhaps?

Never been called a troll before, that hurt. Slide closure and fire info is valuable to me, I’ll learn to sort through comments here. No offense intended.
