Housing Element Survey until 5/12

As part of the public input process for the County of Monterey’s Housing Element Cycle, a survey has launched and will be open until May 12th. Share your thoughts on how the County can encourage housing for a broad range of income levels to meet our housing goals.

  1. Require all short-term rental (vacation rental) owners to add at least one permanent affordable housing unit in order to receive approval.

    40 yrs.ahead of the times now still waiting to be addressed..yet now its too late! Well not entirely..yet we had endless wake up calls, yet we did nothing but make more impediments

  3. Joe L. – Birth rate stats are notoriously unreliably..just imagine say today in parts of war torn country’s there will be hundreds of births daily, at or in war torn community settings with no census.. Birth keeping stats are a 1st world phenomenon..not not so in most of the world.

  4. There’s a brand new article in today’s Wall Street Journal that cites further evidence of declining birth rates, even in less developed countries. I will continue to trust in the evidence that we do have, rather than doubt that evidence simply because it is not complete. Thanks!
