IMPORTANT NOTE: Unfortunately, yesterday afternoon at approximately 5:00 pm air operations were stopped on the Timber Fire due to unauthorized Drone/s flying in the NO-FLY ZONE. Please use the attached social graphic to promote the NO-FLY ZONE. Also spread the word that it is a Federal offense to fly in an FAA no-fly zone.

-25,380 ac 27% contained
-Fire remains active with isolated heat sources continuing to hold in steep, difficult-to-access terrain.
-Crews continue direct and indirect suppression efforts on the northwest and southwest portions of the fire.
-The northwest portion remains the highest operational concern and threat to values at risk.
-The majority of the western perimeter along Highway 1 remains in mop-up and patrol status.
-Resources continue strengthening and improving established handlines, dozer lines, and hoselays.
-Hot and dry conditions continue today with poor overnight humidity recovery before a cooling trend begins Friday.
-Evacuation Orders and Warnings remain in effect.
-Southwest Complex Incident Management Team 1 in command.

-29,918 ac 73% contained
-Firefighters have completed a continuous system of handline, dozer line, roads, and other containment features around the fire.
-Crews continue strengthening and securing containment lines while addressing remaining heat.
-Fire activity has moderated; however, critically dry fuels remain capable of supporting additional fire activity.
-Resources continue patrol, mop-up, and reinforcement of established control features.
-Steep, rugged terrain and limited access continue to impact suppression operations.
-Evacuation Orders and Warnings remain in effect.
-CIIMT 7 in command.

-Northern closure: MM 19 near Kirk Creek Campground.
-Southern closure: MM 10.5 near Willow Springs Caltrans Yard.
