FULL OVERNIGHT CLOSURE OF HIGHWAY 1 IN BIG SUR
TO TAKE PLACE THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8
MONTEREY COUNTY — Travelers on Highway 1 in Big Sur will encounter a full overnight closure Thursday, October 8.
This full closure from 11 pm to 5 am will take place at Post Mile 44 .3 just north Nepenthe in Big Sur.
Crews will be repairing a drainage structure which crosses under both lanes of Highway 1.
Message signs will alert travelers in advance of the section that is fully closed. Please avoid the area and allow for extra time for your travels. This overnight closure is expected to be complete the morning of Friday, October 9.
