Good Grief! You Big Sur folks are really getting slammed… I had one slide that took out Hwy 1 up north here, but it had one lane open within a week. I simply can’t imagine these nonstop slides and closures on top of the fires not so long ago. My heart reaches out to you, at least there’s good neighbors to hel each other as needed. Thank heavens for any blessing!
I’m so sorry you all are going through this. I’m from Ventura area and had a planned a spring break road trip up the coast stopping in SLO, Big Sur (at Big Sur Lodge), Monterey and San Fran. I’m guessing I need to rethink this. We are supposed to leave in 2 weeks and I see more rain in the forecast.
We continue to try to keep up to date on our near neighbors, but the accurate information seems best coming from our friends with boots on the ground. The Big Share is ready for another resupply mission to bring fresh food and produce and other supplies when we have more information on the road conditions over Nacimiento. We understand that there are many changing obstacles. But please know that we are working to help! And fundraising for those who need it.
