From Rohana. Em called 911, I called the PV Station direct and spoke to a “live” person. This is on Nacimiento Rd. At approximately mm 4. Make sure and scroll for most up-to-date info.

New pic just taken. It is clearly backing down the ridge in a south-westerly direction.

Oh, this ought to play havoc with that massive convoy of trucks, supplies, and equipment today for the bridge.

IC is staging the Dozer for the time being.
I think they are probably making good progress, its all in the grass.
Additionally Tanker 12 has been canceled.

Start time for Amgen moved up

For whatever reason, Amgen decided to move the start time up by 15 minutes, so racers will now depart at 9:55. That means the Amgen schedule (and yours) needs to be adjusted accordingly.

From the SLO Tribune:

“The start time for Wednesday’s Amgen Tour of California bicycle race leg in Morro Bay has been moved up to 9:55 a.m. from its previously scheduled start time of 10:10 a.m.

Amgen officials notified the city of the change late Tuesday afternoon.

The purpose of this roadwork is to improve traveler safety by making highway repairs. It is being done by the Caltrans Monterey Maintenance Crew.

NOTICE – Traffic Alert – HIGHWAY 1 BACKED UP IN BOTH DIRECTIONS

The Music of the Rain

3:35 pm – Nice downpour – 1.49″/hour. Gratefully received.

I came into my library with a cup of coffee to read. I turned on my replica 1930’s radio for music. I could almost hear the rain on the metal roof, but not well. I turned off the radio. I won’t have too many more opportunities for a while to listen to the music of the rain.

Rain total at end of day. I’m busy listening to the music of the rain.

Rain Report, 4/9/16

I was disappointed in the “rain” yesterday, as it was really a drizzle. I got a total of .07″ during the day, another .03″ last night/early am for a total of only a tenth of an inch. It did start raining about up here about 12:15, but still not very heavy, just enough to drive Missy inside. Hope you are fairing better, and that we get more this afternoon and evening. Have a great weekend!
