Storm Watch, 2/21

5:30 pm – the rain started.

7:00 am – Good morning. As all in the area can report, we have the cloud cover of the next storm overhead. NOAA forecast discussion is putting the heaviest rainfall north of SF, fortunately, but of course, we’ll still have to keep an eye on this one, as it develops. Here is the good news:

THE GOOD NEWS FOR THE BURN AREAS OF SANTA CRUZ AND MONTEREY COUNTIES
IS THAT THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN NORTH OF THOSE
AREAS. EVEN SO...WILL NEED TO BE WARY OF ANY INDICATION THAT HEAVIER
RAIN MAY END UP DEVELOPING FARTHER SOUTH THAN WHAT THE MODELS
CURRENTLY INDICATE.
