The saga continues …

April found Missy added to my menagerie … And all the work that entailed. May found Missy going through heat … And all the work that entails. June found Missy with a bad cut, and eventually, 10-12 stitches, and not allowed outside for 10 days … and all the work that entails. oh boy, try to keep a young border collie quiet and calm? Lots of work.

This is the major reason I haven’t been”keeping up” with my blog. I really wanted to go to the Muster today, but she can’t be left alone.

Here is our progression …

If you clicked on the notification email link, this wasn’t up, yet, only the title and a notice. That was my fault. While I was composing this last night, for publication this morning, I accidentally “published” and sent out notifications prematurely. Hope I never do that again.

Accident closes Highway One temporarily

Around 4:00 pm this afternoon, a local truck which landed upside down on Highway One, just north of Lucia, closed both lanes of traffic for a period of time. The truck was up at Morning Glory Ranch and rolled or slid off the road. Unconfirmed reports were that one person was trapped inside. The photo seems to indicate that may not be correct. in any event, confirmed reports indicate no one was hurt, thank goodness.

Meanwhile, the Powerhouse Fire in So Cal near Lake Hughes just icecapped. That means there was a blow-up, in heavy brush. Icecapping is quite a sight, and once you’ve seen it, you will never forget. I have seen it up here. Major evacuations going on there. This fire started yesterday, but got a major push due to heat, low humidity and winds.

Here is what ice capping looks like. See that white cloud-like fluff?
