Sorry, I’m not giving this one away, and please don’t publicly comment on where this is, if you recognize it. It is little traveled, and I’d like to see it stay that way.

Monday Morning Plaskett Campground was full … Already. The over flow was creeping up Plaskett. By the weekend most flat spots will be filled. Before they are I got some more spring flowers. On Friday, they were almost all gone! I suspect that will change by this afternoon, when I head back home.

Douglas Iris

Ceanothus, blue and white on my property.

Western Columbine

Owl’s clover.
Tomorrow, I have another post ready to go, of shots taken on a back road I love to travel a couple times a year.

I tried to get this up earlier, but the blog has been busy. Don’t forget the photo contest! It ends in a week, and I only have I think it is FOUR entries! See March 15th post for details!

Indian Paintbrush

Indian Paintbrush patch

Hound’s Tongue

Vetch

Milk Maid

Chocolate or Mission Bells.
All these flowers were found on my way down Plaskett this morning. What a gift!
Dave Fauset has been working for Winsor on the highway at Partington Ridge. The other day, while working the Highway, he had the wonderful opportunity to see and photograph our Condors.

Thanks for sharing your photographs, and enjoy your home away from home while you are here!
Stunning this morning in the first light of day … Took some photos, and will take some more, but coffee and fire first. Bright sunshine, but quite cold. The whole coast is clear and sparkling! Gorgeous day to wake up in Big Sur – actually, there are no bad days to wake up here!

Those are photos I took just after the sun came up, before coffee and fire. I have a couple others, taken AFTER coffee #1 and starting my fire for the day. The deck and road are still covered, so I can’t drive, or walk outside much, without fear of slipping – not something I’m anxious to do, even for really good photo ops!
Here are a few I took after coffee.

That’s my live Xmas tree. Looks right at home, doesn’t it?

Think I’m going to have to clean off my solar panels, on my solar generator, if I want to recharge today.;-)

My trusty Jeep Commander

That’s it for now, ladies and gents. Enjoy this day, and every day.
Stunning, isn’t she?

And here are a couple more

I have more photos I will continue to try to add. It has been snowing continuously since 2:00 pm, without let-up.

I’ll take more photos before it gets dark, particularly if it continues to snow, as it has for the last hour and a half. The default will add them below this message.
This is so amazing, after an 80 degree day up here on Sunday!
Following is a photojournal of my trip north Wednesday. Three construction areas, we had to traverse. This is why we don’t go north much right now.

Look at the colors in those arches. Aren’t they gorgeous!.

AND, construction number two – Partington.

It is not just the stopping for 10 minutes, or more, EACH, it is getting in a line of cars from which one cannot escape!
Finally, Rocky Creek.
